Charitable Trusts and Foundations
Trust Fundraising refers to the process of asking for support from charitable trusts and foundations that are empowered to make grants for charitable purposes.
For the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, these donations provide essential funding not only for the running of our organisation but for the many projects that we are now delivering across the country.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the many foundations and trusts that are committed to supporting our work. You are helping us to save the sound of summer and protect the fundamental role bumblebees play in pollinating our flowers and crops.

William Prestwood, Trustee of the A & N Daniell Charitable Trust explains why the Trust has been supporting our work for a number of years.
“One of the issues closest to the hearts of the two founders of the Trust, Noreen and Tony Daniell, was the protection of the English countryside. They were passionate about wildlife and, in their lifetimes, did much to support the work of conservation groups. They would have been very excited to know that their support was now helping the work of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. They were both keen gardeners and were well aware of the importance and fascination of bees and other pollinators.”
Dorothée Irving, Head of Grants, John Ellerman Foundation:
“I am pleased to tell you that the trustees were impressed by your recent application for funding, and have approved a grant of £75,000 over 3 years towards the “Making a Buzz for the Coast” project, We can see the importance of this initiative for the long term protection of bees in England.”
In addition to those funders that we have thanked on each of our project pages, we would like to say a special thank you to those Trusts and Foundations that have supported the overarching activities of Bumblebee Conservation Trust in the past year. These organisations are listed below:
