The Wildlife Gardening Forum, in partnership with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust has organised a whole day of talks, workshops and guided walks at the beautiful London Wetland Centre.
The charge for the whole day event is only £25, which includes entry to all of the London Wetland Centre. It includes refreshments on arrival, but does not include lunch. There are several places to eat at the LWC, and you are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch.
Speakers in open sessions include authors and broadcasters Professor Chris Baines, Kate Bradbury and Adrian Thomas, with Peter Massini of the GLA and Paul de Zylva of the LNPCF, describing how the new London National Park City initiative will work with Wildlife Gardeners. Another fourteen experts are lined up to provide specialist talks, guided walks and workshops giving practical tips on many aspects of garden wildlife from biological recording, to gardening for bumblebees, butterflies and earthworms!. There will also be a Wildlife Gardeners’ Fair outside, with 20 stalls run by wildflower plant nurseries, equipment suppliers and wildlife gardening organisations.
