Latest update on Trust events
At the Trust, we are doing everything we can to provide support and reassurance to our staff, volunteers and supporters in these challenging times. We wish to play our part in keeping people healthy and safe.
We initially cancelled all face to face Trust events involving staff and registered volunteers from mid March 2020 to 4 July 2020. These cancellations included indoor and outdoor activities, and events which where volunteers would have used conservation materials supplied by the Trust. We have continued to stay in touch with volunteers and supporters through a series of virtual events and through social media, phone, email and post.
From 4th July 2020 the Trust has restarted a small number of outdoor events. Initially we are just permitting our staff to lead events. We hope we can resume volunteer led activity later this summer.
The events we are currently holding are small, held outdoor, and only run where our staff can control all risk management factors. All activity is being done under the guidance/law of the relevant country at the time of the event, with full agreement of those present, subject to appropriate risk assessments and mitigation measures, and with written agreement from partners, venues and hosts.
We will be reviewing arrangements for future months in due course as government guidance evolves. Updates will be shared on our website and social media channels and by email to those of you registered with us.
The latest advice for those of you involved in our BeeWalk scheme can be found here.
These are exceptional times and we’ll work to support each other and keep you updated.
