All Trust events cancelled until early June
At the Trust, we are doing everything we can to provide support and reassurance to our staff, volunteers and supporters in these uncertain and challenging times. We wish to play our part in keeping people healthy and safe.
Following government guidance, we have decided all Trust events involving staff and registered volunteers scheduled for March, April and May must be cancelled. This includes both indoor and outdoor activities.
We will review arrangements for future months in due course in light of any updates to government guidance and share updates on our website and social media channels and by email to those registered with us. We will also be exploring whether some events can be carried out virtually or postponed to a later date.
If individuals wish to continue to carry out BeeWalks, please follow the government social distancing guidelines.
These are exceptional times and we’ll work to support each other and keep you updated.

Are you keen naturalist, passionate about your local area? Do you have a strong interest in bumblebees?
We want you! We need to find and record what bees are where, what flowers they are feeding on, and what flowers are available for them to feed on at a number of locations in Sutherland. This will be very helpful to our conservation efforts, especially if we are able to find any rare Great yellow bumblebees!
We’ll meet at 11am at the Polin Bay car park to co-ordinate, then head out to the machair area behind the beach. We’ll return at 3pm to compare what we’ve found. If you have a net and a hand lens, please bring it (more will be available on the day to borrow). Bring a packed lunch, stout walking boots/shoes, and come prepared for changeable weather.
