Join Annie Ives, Skills for Bees: Scotland Project Officer to learn more about the identification and ecology of bumblebees, focusing on some of the rare and special bumblebees found in the Cairngorms National Park. Find out why they are so important and what you can do to help these charismatic creatures.

As part of the Deeside Nature Festival 2025, in this talk we will take a closer look at the identification and ecology of bumblebees in the Cairngorms, learn top tips to begin telling them apart. We’ll discuss why bumblebees are so important to our lives and environment, how they support our farms and countryside and how we can help them in return.

This event is suitable for bumblebee beginners and enthusiasts alike!
