Leave a legacy

Remembering the Bumblebee Conservation Trust in your Will is a special way to support the future of Britain’s bumblebees.

Leave a gift in your Will

Leaving a legacy gift will enable the Trust to continue its work to protect bumblebees for generations to come. A gift will help to create communities and countryside’s rich in colourful wildflowers and bees, supporting a diversity of wildlife and habitats for everyone to enjoy.

Your gift to bumblebees will:

  • Support the conservation of rare bumblebees, by creating more, better-connected flower-rich habitats
  • Develop evidence and maximise the accuracy of data recorded from our national BeeWalk scheme
  • Train more volunteers to deliver Bee ID training and events to champion our bumblebees
  • Develop projects to inspire people and organisations to take action for bumblebees

How to include us in your Will

We understand that your first priority is providing for those you care for, but when the time is right, there are several ways you can consider leaving a gift to the Trust:

  • A residuary legacy – you can choose to leave a percentage of your estate, no matter how small
  • A pecuniary legacy – a specific, fixed sum as a gift to us
  • A specific gift – you can leave us a gift, such as a painting, which will help us to raise valuable funds towards our work

If you’d like to talk to someone about a specific bequest, you can contact us at membership@bumblebeeconservation.org or call us on 01786 594 130.

  • What if I change my mind?

You have the right to amend your Will at any time, and informing us of your consideration to include us in your Will holds no legal obligation whatsoever.

Gifts in memory

Raising money in someone’s memory is a special way to celebrate their life.

Many families decide to honour the life of a lost loved one by suggesting donations in lieu of giving flowers. These gifts are especially important to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, as a special gesture of remembrance that also helps further a cause close to the family or loved one.

If you would like to set up an online funeral collection, we recommend using Memory Giving or setting up an In Memory JustGiving page. Your friends and family can give to your page easily, safely and securely, wherever they are, whenever they want to. Together you can create a lasting tribute in memory of your loved one.

Should you wish to collect donations at a loved one’s funeral, you can do so by filling out our In Memory donation form. Please make cheques payable to ‘Bumblebee Conservation Trust’. Once donations have been collected together please send them for the attention of:

Bumblebee Conservation Trust
Units 6 & 7
Beta Centre
Stirling University Innovation Park

We promise to acknowledge the donors, if requested, and thank you for forwarding the donations.
