Donate to our appeal
With your help, we can create bigger and better spaces for bumblebees, and inspire more people to step up and take action for bumblebees.

How do we explain to children that we were the generation that let bumblebees disappear from our landscapes for good?
Imagine a world where seeing a bumblebee in your back garden was a novelty. If we don’t act now, that world is not too far away.
The White-tailed and Red-tailed bumblebees are two of the UK’s most common and recognisable species of bumblebee, but they are in trouble. Over the last 15 years, their populations have shown a worrying and steady decline, principally due to loss of habitat.
What’s happening
We’ve lost 97% of our wildflower-rich meadows since the 1940s. Bumblebees are losing the wild places they need to feed, nest and thrive, and if urgent action isn’t taken we could lose them from our towns and countryside for good.
We need to provide bigger, better and more joined up habitats for bumblebees.
There is also a pressing need to engage communities across the UK, mobilising an army of bumblebee champions in every community, to give them the knowledge and skills to create new patches of habitat, restore existing habitat and protect the fragments of good habitat that remain.
With your donation we can stop the decline in our common bumblebee species.
We urgently need to raise £30,000
Your donation today will help us continue our work to protect bumblebees. From restoring wildflower habitats and monitoring bumblebee populations, to inspiring the next generation and campaigning for stronger protections.
A donation today can help put flower-rich habitats back on the map and create a brighter future for bumblebees.
Every gift matters
- £14 could help fund one school child to take part in Bumblebee Friendly Schools
- £35 would allow us to train one BeeWalk volunteer to help monitor bumblebees
- £62 could create 250m2 of wildflower habitat, that’s almost the size of a tennis court
Together we can put flower-rich habitats back on the map and create a brighter future for bumblebees.
If you’ve ever thought about giving a one-off donation, we’re asking you to please, make it today.
Imagine a world where seeing a bumblebee in your back garden was a novelty. If we don’t act now, that world is not too far away.
